New Funeral Support Campaign Launching November 2024
We are pleased to announce the launch of our Funeral Support Campaign, running from November 2024 to March 2025. This campaign aims to provide accessible information and emotional support to individuals and families navigating funeral arrangements during a time of loss.
Offering Accessible, Impartial, and Free Support
At a time when loss can feel overwhelming, our Funeral Advice Centre is here to offer free, impartial support to all bereaved people and families. This campaign is focused on making essential information available so that anyone can make well-informed decisions about funeral arrangements without the added stress of time and cost constraints.
Since 2022, all funeral directors are required to publish prices in a standard format. This transparency helps to compare funeral options with greater ease and potentially save on costs by selecting a service that meets specific needs.

Contact usUnderstanding Funeral Options
Funerals are deeply personal, and it is essential for everyone to understand their choices. Our campaign will also help clarify options available, including:
Attended Funerals: Ceremonies attended by family and friends, coinciding with the burial or cremation of their loved one.
Unattended Funerals: Private burials or cremations without family or friends present.
Burials: The traditional practice of lowering the deceased into the ground in a coffin or casket.
Cremations: The process where the body is cremated in a specialist chamber, with the ashes later returned to the family.
